So you've got an idea and can't wait to send it in, collect votes, win money, and become rich
and famous... GREAT! But you might want to read below first.
There are two basic ways to submit:
SUBMIT A DESIGN IDEA
This means that you have a great idea, but you just don't have the programs or skills to create your vision. That's where our
design team comes in. If you have a design idea that you think would make a great tshirt or koozie, send us a detailed
description of your idea and we'll take it from there. We obviously would want you to like the design we create from your
idea, so feel free to send a drawing or rough sketch of your design idea to give us a better idea of your vision and we'll
try to use that as much as we can. You can use a pencil and paper, Microsoft paint, an Etch-a-Sketch, whatever. Just scan
your work and send it to designs@gamedaypassion.com. If we think the design idea is good enough, we'll work on creating your
vision and we'll post it for scoring. No, you won't win money for just submitting a design idea, but if your design is scored
and printed, you will get 2 free shirts (1 for you and 1 for a friend)! Oh, come on, don't look at us
like that. You get FREE GEAR remember!?
SUBMIT A DESIGN
You're a master with Illustrator, a pro at Photoshop, you can create a graphic design in your sleep' Well, you've come to the right place.
Just follow the guidelines below and send us your designs so we can post them for scoring!
When you submit your designs to us, please use the follow criteria:
- Design submissions must be at least 100dpi. Final design files must be at least 350dpi. Please only send us the low
resolution files to begin with. If your design is posted and scores well, and we ultimately decide to print it, we will ask
you for the high resolution files at that time (.psd, .ai. .eps). So remember to save your work! It could be a couple of weeks before we know
if your design will be printed.
- Initial submission requirements include 3 versions of your artwork: one as a 140x140 pixel thumbnail, one as a 250x250 pixel design for the scoring page, and
one that shows the design as it would be positioned on a tshirt (email us if you need a template).
- Artwork should be no larger than 12" wide, and 16" high. Remember that the design should fit comfortably on a unisex tshirt.
If we decide to ultimately print your artwork on a koozie, the design can be reduced. As a rule of thumb, try to use a 3:4 ratio.
- File should be saved as a .gif for initial submission.
- Include no more than two colors in your design. Black, white, and various shades of colors count towards this limit.
- Artwork can be declined if we determine it is not in line with the spirit of gamedaypassion.. or it just doesn't seem complete
or ready to print. If your design is declined,
we will let you know why and may include feedback including suggestions for possible changes.
- If your design is declined and not posted for scoring, you can make changes and resubmit your design one time. If your
design is initially posted for scoring, but does not receive the scores necessary for printing, you cannot resubmit your design
without significant alterations.
FOR ALL DESIGNS AND DESIGN IDEAS:
Make sure your designs do not include any of the following:
- Crude language or designs in poor taste (Come on, keep it clean. For the kids. That said, we wouldn't discriminate against finding clever ways around this! See "tailgaters pitch tents in the morning")
- Trademarked or copyrighted material
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that should we decide to print your design, gamedaypassion will own the rights to your artwork.
By submitting a design, you are agreeing to not print the design on your own (or any other printer) until we have accepted or denied your design (within 45 days).
